WHAT DO YOU WANT???

Such a simple question yet it beholds many meanings. Me and the other sergeants found that out when we were conducting lessons for the trainees. "What do you want?" Do you want them to improve? Do you want them to gain experience? Do you want them to learn? Or do you just want them to see the act of teaching?

Alas, all these are not true... because at the end of the day what you really want from them is to send out a message saying "I WANT TO SEE EFFORT!". From that day onwards I learnt that you need a clear objective of what you want when u want to teach someone. if you do not know what you want from the trainees then in the end, they will not know what they want to learn.... Okay I think only the commanders from training wing will understand what I am saying.

Anyway, training wing has officially started and new faces have arrived. Most of them have major problems physically while a few have problems emotionally. Thus you can basically imagine the number of people reporting sick and wishing to post out. If you want me to give you a clearer picture- almost half of them reported sick.

Nevertheless, there are some willing to endure and to work together. This gave me a ray of hope for my trainees as I am very demoralised by the numbers participating.

Haizz... but really.. it really is very tiring as we sleep later then them and wake up earlier then them. Haizz....I just hope june comes early this year.

ROCK BAND!

Woot... Finally got a real good break this weekend with good friday and all... Haha.. Finally got to meet up with wei quan(to wq: ITS ABOUT DARN BLOODY TIME!!) Haha... I invited him over my house last saturday cause i had a big surprise... I finally bought ROCK BAND!! .
Woohoo!!! IT costed me about $3++. But it was well worth it because u can play it with alot of ppl. Wei quan love playing the drums... and he was quite good at it... but i think after some time, the rock music was a bit too loud and I think that gave him a migrane.(Sorry man!)
Anyway, we talked alot and he told me he was planning a trip to go to Mt. Kinabalu. Damn I am so sad, I can't go. But what to do? I don't wanna discourage him not to go because I know he's going to NS soon and he won't get this opportunity for a long time. So... to the people going, u guys shall have my blessing and I hope u guys get me a SOUVENIR. HAHAHA....

Anyway, new trainees will be coming this monday. Training wing has officially started. Not sure how to react. These 3 months will be quite tiring and most probably, my saturdays will get burned....But I will do my best no matter the difficulties...

Met wen ting, ZK, WQ... Soon will be yan ting and jon this coming weekend(maybe). For Pat... I dunno where she is right now... like MIA like that.. (to Pat: If ur reading this... reply to me dammit..lol)

Well, this week... I enjoyed myself as I get to spend time with both my family and friends... but of course best of all... I got my ROCK BAND!! Woohoo!!

1 year down.. 1 more to go...

Yeah! Celebrated my 1st army anniversary last weekend with wenting and zhong kai. Well, it was more like I met up with wenting on friday and sunday for zhong kai. So yeah.. not much of a meeting eh? LOL.. But i kind of understand as everyone has their own hectic lifestyle or personal problems that they have to deal with.. Oh well...

But hey, at least i get to meet up with wenting on friday, this in fact, is already a blessing as she has been very busy these past few months. Oh well, we talked and watched Spiderwick Chronicles. I think I enjoyed the talking more than the movie. I'm not saying the movie is bad.. I mean the movie was okay with the whole magical and fairy land 'thingamagic' and with the whole 'good triumph over evil ' thingy. I guess it's just that I felt chronicles of Narnia was better as there was a war plot in it.. Or maybe it's just me.. lol.. Well, overall the movie was good... But i felt, I enjoyed more just talking with my friends, catching up... sharing thoughts and just release tension by blurting everything out.... Haha.. maybe its just me...

Then I met with ZK last sunday to celebrate his birthday and my anniversary... It was fun making fun of him.. haha.. a pastor...LOL.. And we even got to eat at Manhattan fish.. He eventually agreed as I was paying for his meal as his birthday present... I realized in both of our talks that our main subject was about wei quan.. I guess he is facing real major problems and I am really kind of worried for him...

Well... the upcoming week is gonna be stressful. With the new batch of trainees coming in from bmt... don't really want to be fierce... but my pc say it is a requirement.. oh well.. we will see how it goes...

Highlight of the day: Woot! I got to meet up with my friends!! And 1 more year to ORD lor...

Manga and Anime

Nothing much this week... I have been clearing my off for the whole of this week so I have been spending a lot of time at home. It gets kind of boring since most of my friends are working these days.

Oh but Saiffuddin, Razali and Juzazwan came to my house this week to watch Man U vs Lyon. We watch movies and the match...all the way till 6am. O.O. Haha, it was fun.. they kept me entertained and we were able to catch up at the same time. I really miss my sec school mates... Heard the chalet for 4/9 was cancelled... Haizz... damn sad...

Updates: I put some reccomendations for some manga and anime. Tell me if u guys wanna give a little synopsis for them. Credit goes to OneManga and Crunchyroll.

Realization

Well, 3 months have passed since I was posted to ATEC. These 3 months sure have its ups and downs. In ATEC, you are given 2 days off everytime you go outfield(go jungle) for 4 days and 3 nights. So since its ATEC, we do have a lot of outfield thus explaining why I am at home more often. What I didn't realize that it came with a price. Any work that needs to be done, must be done properly and competitively. If not....well.... let's just say your ears will hurt.. and possibly spend more time at camp then at home... But it sure has been eventful, I learned so much in ATEC in just 2 months... due to all the evaluations. And I must say my bunk is never dull due to the company around me.. haha.. they make me laugh so much...

My 1 year anniversary is coming soon on March 15. Thinking back, I have had my fair share of experiences. My time during bmt at Ninja was a moment that could never be forgotten. The OC was tough on us and his methods were sometimes... well... painful. Nevertheless, I thank him for making me a much stronger man not just physically but mentally as well. And the people around me were always encouraging each other whenever we were in trouble or getting punished or even when we were covering up for each other. I have to say I am proud to be from Ninja.

Then came sispec, that was when hell started for me. It was also around the time my asthma started to react again. It was really a mentally stressfull time I had to go through. The exercises were tough and exhausting but I scraped through most of it. It's not easy running your best time when you realize your still the last in your platoon. But I realized that the most enjoyable moments I had were spending time with my section mates. They made me laugh even at the most ridiculous situations. Taiwan was a lot more fun with them around encouraging me.

I realized that I am only stronger when the people around me are strong. And I am blessed to have fine companions from BMT to ATEC. Realization is a funny thing, suddenly it makes your vision much clearer. Well, my anniversary is coming soon... I am trying to keep a positive attitude.. as it means 1 more year to ORD LOH!

Tanks

Well it was another eventful week in camp. Then again, not much time was spent in camp, more on being in the jungle i guess. This time around we were fighting against armour unit. What is armour unit you ask? Well, they are actually a unit comprising of tanks and infantry. But this time around, i think we fought against reservist people. But don't underestimate them cause they were good.

My vehicle ended up getting shot down early on while it was trying to retreat. Oh well, suay i guess. I think my oc was kind of pissed when he heard my vehicle was downed so early. But hey things got more interesting on my the 3rd day.

Frois and my vehicle was positioned at a spot pointing at the paths in front of us when suddenly a tank went and shoot my vehicle from behind. I was down of course, but luckily i got one more life. As soon i was revived, i asked my gunner to point at the tank and he shot it down. Wohoo! My first tank I downed. Suddenly, there were armour infantry being dismounted and tried to flank me from the right. I dismounted, and ordered for the both of us to shoot at them. To my dismay, I got downed again. Worse still, 2 tanks suddenly tried to "chiong" to our holding ground. We were at a great disadvantage but luckily reinforcements came on the way in the form of Jason(not sure to be happy abt that though). He kept on shooting but hit nothing, and was downed few mins later. Lucky for us, Frois was able to shoot both of the tanks down thanks to Jason's vehicle being the decoy. Haha.. It really was quite funny at times. I realised how exciting it was to witness everyting with my very own true eyes as it looked like it came out from a movie.

I was really happy at that time until my gunner came up to me and apologised to me as he revealed that he accidentally shot down our own vehicle. Haiss... suay again i guess... But after thinking back, i thought it was pretty funny and how fun atec life can be... Oh well..the saikang part wasnt fun though.

All in all, it was a good week as nothing dangerous happened and i get to hit my first tank. Woohoo!

Pictures of Taiwan 07

Just thought I should post some of my photos during my trip to Taiwan. Basically, the photo on my left shows the people in my section (We sleep in the same bunk). As u can see, our hair are more or less gone and from our faces, we are pretty much excited. Except for me of course, I was actually trying to put up a brave front.

This is Camp Meilin. This is where we sleep, it isn't much, but at that time...this place was like heaven. The guy sleeping beside me is Ryan and Victor is the guy next to him.

This is Arshard and I standing beside a replica of skeleton heads. Lol, it's really funny to see Arshard AGAIN, since i have been in the same primary school, same class during secondary school, same junior college and finally end up in the same bunk during NS. LOL.. What a coincidence!

And these are my MAT brothers... Muahaha... Hehe.. We are all actually just acting cool. But the scenery behind us is way cooler.

The malay guys in my platoon! Yeah we Rock! From left, thats me, Nazrul, Arshard and zul(he likes to be cute). We are in front of some temple I wish i knew what it's called.

Here we are.. standing in front of a bakery.. The girls there, are really fair and the croissant there sell for 1 buck a piece.

Me and NY eating ice-cream on croissants... weird, but delicious.

Yeah! These are the true MAT brothers. (The malay guys in my company) I really miss them cause they are really fun to hang out with.

And this is my platoon... Haha, don't look surprised, there are two girls in there. The 1st one is pretty easy to find, guess where the second is? (Hint: she is on the bottom row)

Now this is what we call Heaven Ultimax 2000. That's Alvin Bay sleeping on the queen size bed, I'm sleeping on the next bed. Basket, my section mates took these photos while we were asleep.

Snore...

These are some of the pictures taken on the streets of Taipei:

Well, it was great fun during RnR, and only RnR but it had to come to an end. From myself, I would like to thank.....

my BSLC platoon and....
my ASLC platoon....... for having me as your section mate, platoon mate and above all else... my friend. U guys made my Sispec days a hell lot easier. Thank You! I will miss u guys.
