Neighbors

Today, my mom was minding her own business at home when she suddenly heard an irritating screeching sound. So, she opened the door to find out that our little boy neighbor was dragging a fan outside our house. She told the boy nicely...

Mom: Ehhh... Dun drag the fan like that.... Its making a lot of noise. If you want to move it, at least carry it.

The boy suddenly dropped the fan and just started shouting at his sister in a different language. Then the next thing i knew, I heard shouting outside my door. It was the boy's mom scolding, shouting and cursing vulgarities in front of my mom.

Neighbor: WHY!! Did u scold my son??? What right do u have to tell him what to do or what not to do?? U #@%* %@!...

At that time, I was like damn bloody pissed off and wanted to scold her back. Luckily, my dad got irritated by the noise and confronted her... She was still ranting and cursing in front of all of us... My dad calmly asked the boy...

Dad: What did my wife say to u?
Neighbor: She scolded my child!
Dad: I am asking the boy, what did my wife say to u? Did she scold u?
Boy: No... she ask me to stop dragging the fan.
Neighbor: Of course he would say that, thats becuz he is scared of u..

By that time, her ranting died down... and as she left, a string of vulgarities followed.

That night, when our neighbor's husband returned home. We heard loud shoutings in their home. 5 mins later, her husband came ringing on our door. As soon as my dad opened the door, the husband started scolding vulgarities.

Husband: U kepala buto. What is this?? I just came back from work only to hear somebody grabbed my boy by the shirt and slapped him.. U CB.

I went down to look at what was the commotion about and saw our neighbor's husband. I just only looked at him then he looked at me and then he started shouting at my dad.

Husband: Is that your son? Now, he want to get involved in this?? He look at me like he not happy....

I was like "WTF?!?" I just came to see what the commotion was about and he suddenly like want to find trouble with me. In my mind, I was like saying "bring it on!". But my dad calmly told them that he never heard of my mom doing such things until now. He explained that my mom was only advising the boy.. And that it was his and my moms mistake to bother other ppl's child.

That night my mom got a long nagging session from me and my dad. After that night, I realized how egoistical our neighbors were. Shouting like nobody's business thinking we scared of them. To think they even dare to scold vulgarities in front of their own children. Now I understood y the previous owner of our house was quite in a rush to sell our house.

Well, I guess our home isn't that perfect after all...

Movies

Shit!! Lost my magical pen!! Argh! Oh well... I hope i get to find it by next week.

Okay... This week was kind of relaxing as we only taught GPMG and 84mm to the new trainees. So yeah, we got enough time to rest before teaching again.. The only problem is next week where all the section movement outfield comes... haizz..

Oh well, this week I got to watch a lot of movies. I watched Cloverfield, Enchanted, AVP2 and Appleseed ex machina(Anime). Cloverfield was unique as the style of it being filmed is different from most conventional movies today but the monster was really awesome. Enchanted was really funny... Haha... I learned from the movie that even in the REAL world which does not exist any happily ever after... We CAN still have DREAMS. Predator in AVP2 was really cool!! I love the way he kills the aliens... (kind of sadistic but who cares?) Appleseed was also really nice!! It was done like the matrix concept so their moves looked really really cool!

So yeah! That concluded my weekend. Got a couple of new movies like Paprika, Juno and Charlie Wilson's War. So if any of you guys are interested in watching, do drop by a message.

Hari Raya 07

Okay.. I just thought my blog was kind of dull... so I am gonna post some pics from the last Hari Raya 2007. Think I only had 2 days of Hari Raya before I flew off to Taiwan... So yeah... I could only hang out with my family.

Okay, this is me asking for forgiveness.. Haha it may look funny but it is a very serious annual tradition.



Somehow, I cant seem to be serious when i ask forgiveness from him.

Haha... these are my cousins from my mother's side. As you can see... We are all quite young. I am like the 2nd or 3rd eldest.

And that at the center is my grandma.. She may look old.. but she is very energetic... coz she nags faster than a GPMG(machine gun)... But we still love her anyway... Haha



Finally these is a photo of my siblings... My little brother is irritating and my sis is whiny... and they argue a lot when I come home. They will be like..
SIS: Stop disturbing me.
bro: I'm not disturbing u, I am just observing u.
SIS: Wafir, you are one irritating, noisy, immature little brat!
bro: And your FAT!

The argument will end with my sis kicking my bro out of her room and slamming her door every single time.

Haha.. they always crack me up.. Haha.. They are really noisy.. but I love them anyways.. They really add colour to my life.

Training Wing

Training Wing in ATEC is basically a 3months phase for the man posted from bmt. It is a compulsory phase in which every new private has to undergo before they move on to the main body of ATEC. The programme includes weapon training, physical training, fighting movements and a lot of outfield like field camp. Sadly even the sergeants including myself will be assessed so yeah... we also have to do most of the things with them. I think worst of all is the fact that our saturdays will get burned sometimes therefore shacking us out... Phew...Even so.. I have to endure and do this with a strong positive attitude.. YEAH!

The new MAN in my training wing are a mixture of many different colours. The half from bmt are mostly jc students while the other half from mono intake like 1SIR and 6SIR mostly are made up of people with qualifications like PSLE, n levels and o levels. SO it was quite interesting to see them mix around but as I expected, most of the jc people grouped together while the mono intake also made up one group. Maybe we need to give them some time....

I heard that the mono intake were... well.. rejects that 1sir and 6sir thought were either outcasts or not good enough. Alas, I realized that it was not that they were not good enough, It's just that most of them have physical, psychological or emotional problems. Nevertheless they still show good attitude and enthusiasm that made me raise my morale a bit.

However their discipline is still lacking and I am very much afraid that the demon sleeping inside me will awake to roam the realm of reality again... It has been a long time since I have lost my temper and I am scared the time is approaching... Oh please let me control my temper. This week a total of 27 people out of 70 went on mc. That's like almost 40% that did not report last Sunday. I just hope they went on mc because they were not used to the 5 and a half day work week and not because of me exploding at them last week... For the time being... I can just pray and hope..

WHAT DO YOU WANT???

Such a simple question yet it beholds many meanings. Me and the other sergeants found that out when we were conducting lessons for the trainees. "What do you want?" Do you want them to improve? Do you want them to gain experience? Do you want them to learn? Or do you just want them to see the act of teaching?

Alas, all these are not true... because at the end of the day what you really want from them is to send out a message saying "I WANT TO SEE EFFORT!". From that day onwards I learnt that you need a clear objective of what you want when u want to teach someone. if you do not know what you want from the trainees then in the end, they will not know what they want to learn.... Okay I think only the commanders from training wing will understand what I am saying.

Anyway, training wing has officially started and new faces have arrived. Most of them have major problems physically while a few have problems emotionally. Thus you can basically imagine the number of people reporting sick and wishing to post out. If you want me to give you a clearer picture- almost half of them reported sick.

Nevertheless, there are some willing to endure and to work together. This gave me a ray of hope for my trainees as I am very demoralised by the numbers participating.

Haizz... but really.. it really is very tiring as we sleep later then them and wake up earlier then them. Haizz....I just hope june comes early this year.

ROCK BAND!

Woot... Finally got a real good break this weekend with good friday and all... Haha.. Finally got to meet up with wei quan(to wq: ITS ABOUT DARN BLOODY TIME!!) Haha... I invited him over my house last saturday cause i had a big surprise... I finally bought ROCK BAND!! .
Woohoo!!! IT costed me about $3++. But it was well worth it because u can play it with alot of ppl. Wei quan love playing the drums... and he was quite good at it... but i think after some time, the rock music was a bit too loud and I think that gave him a migrane.(Sorry man!)
Anyway, we talked alot and he told me he was planning a trip to go to Mt. Kinabalu. Damn I am so sad, I can't go. But what to do? I don't wanna discourage him not to go because I know he's going to NS soon and he won't get this opportunity for a long time. So... to the people going, u guys shall have my blessing and I hope u guys get me a SOUVENIR. HAHAHA....

Anyway, new trainees will be coming this monday. Training wing has officially started. Not sure how to react. These 3 months will be quite tiring and most probably, my saturdays will get burned....But I will do my best no matter the difficulties...

Met wen ting, ZK, WQ... Soon will be yan ting and jon this coming weekend(maybe). For Pat... I dunno where she is right now... like MIA like that.. (to Pat: If ur reading this... reply to me dammit..lol)

Well, this week... I enjoyed myself as I get to spend time with both my family and friends... but of course best of all... I got my ROCK BAND!! Woohoo!!

Yeah! Celebrated my 1st army anniversary last weekend with wenting and zhong kai. Well, it was more like I met up with wenting on friday and sunday for zhong kai. So yeah.. not much of a meeting eh? LOL.. But i kind of understand as everyone has their own hectic lifestyle or personal problems that they have to deal with.. Oh well...

But hey, at least i get to meet up with wenting on friday, this in fact, is already a blessing as she has been very busy these past few months. Oh well, we talked and watched Spiderwick Chronicles. I think I enjoyed the talking more than the movie. I'm not saying the movie is bad.. I mean the movie was okay with the whole magical and fairy land 'thingamagic' and with the whole 'good triumph over evil ' thingy. I guess it's just that I felt chronicles of Narnia was better as there was a war plot in it.. Or maybe it's just me.. lol.. Well, overall the movie was good... But i felt, I enjoyed more just talking with my friends, catching up... sharing thoughts and just release tension by blurting everything out.... Haha.. maybe its just me...

Then I met with ZK last sunday to celebrate his birthday and my anniversary... It was fun making fun of him.. haha.. a pastor...LOL.. And we even got to eat at Manhattan fish.. He eventually agreed as I was paying for his meal as his birthday present... I realized in both of our talks that our main subject was about wei quan.. I guess he is facing real major problems and I am really kind of worried for him...

Well... the upcoming week is gonna be stressful. With the new batch of trainees coming in from bmt... don't really want to be fierce... but my pc say it is a requirement.. oh well.. we will see how it goes...

Highlight of the day: Woot! I got to meet up with my friends!! And 1 more year to ORD lor...
